Alex Arnold Belcher

BELCHER, Alex Arnold, age 92 of Alcoa, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Scarbrough Belcher; great granddaughter, Brendle Overly; parents, Thomas and Della Tallent Belcher; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: wife, Bertha Pedigo Belcher of Alcoa; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Belcher of Maryville, Jimmy and Lynn Belcher of Kingsport; daughter and son-in-law, Gladys B. and Kenneth Webb of Maryville; stepdaughter, Wilma Giles of Maryville; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; step granddaughter, Kristi Lutes of Knoxville; brothers, Raymond Belcher of Alcoa, Claude Belcher of Florida; sister, Dorothy Gresham of Walland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carson W. Scarbrough officiating. The interment will follow in Clark’s Grove Cemetery.
