Alice Laverne Heinauer Britton

Britton, Laverne H., age 86, entered heaven surrounded by the saints early Monday morning, July 28, 2008, at Asbury Health Center in Maryville. She was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Britton; daughter, Linda Britton Melton; grandsons, Jimmy Brian Melton and Jeffrey Carl Woodard; and sister, Honey Holtzclaw. She will be lovingly missed by daughter, Barbara Bierce of Marietta, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Richard Woodard and Lisa and Mike Rule of Maryville; son-in-law, Jim Melton of Maryville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Schumacher of Seal Beach, CA. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30th, at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating.
