Barbara Joyce Patterson Hicks

Barbara Joyce Patterson Hicks, 97 of Maryville, passed away Sunday morning at home. She worked at JC Penney for several years and was a pastor's wife for over 25 years. She was a member of the Thompson Chapel and Foothills Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Lee Hicks, her parents Atlas T. and Lula Mae Patterson, brothers Paul, Hyder, Keith, Sherrod, W.L. and David Patterson. Sisters, Vanuiel Hicks, Wanda McGee, Deanna Allen and friend Angela Claiborne.

She is survived by sons Ricky Hicks, James Hicks and daughter Melodye Hicks; grandsons Brant (Sandra) Hicks, Derrick Hicks, Ryan (Kayla) Hicks; great-grandsons, Gavin Lee and Abraham Brantlee Hicks; great-granddaughters Madison, Hailey, and Emily Hicks. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 pm on Friday at the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel for a graveside service with the Rev. Ottis Ball officiating.
