Bettie Sue Helton Wilson

Bettie Sue Helton Wilson, age 94, of Maryville passed away on August 21, 2018. She was a long time member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Mayford Wilson; her parents, Rev. Henry and Mary Helton; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Sheila Helton; sister, Janet Hicks; grandson, Todd Peterson. Survivors include: daughters, Linda (Glenn) Wells of Dallas, TX and Sherry (Don) Peterson of Maryville; grandchildren, Doug (Tracy) Wells of Dallas, TX, Mark Peterson of Nashville, Rick Wells of Greeneville; great grandchildren, Logan, Gracie, Maggie, Hayden and their mother, Crista Peterson of Knoxville, Emily Peterson of Nashville; her close and loving sister, Joan (Bill) Howell of Maryville; sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye (Fred) Hansen of Maryville, who we want to give a special thanks for her love and care in helping to take care of Bettie. A special thanks also to the staff of the North Wing (The Village) at Asbury Place for Betties care. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 26, from 1-2:00 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Gary E. Thomas officiating.
