Betty Jo Badgett

Betty was born on April 7, 1927, to J. Leon and Ina Teffeteller in Blount County. They predeceased her as did her husband, Guy M. Badgett; sister, Jean Lambert (Harold) as well as 3 sisters-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law.

She is survived by her son, Guy M. (Mac) Badgett III of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter, Barbara Donaldson of San Antonio, Texas. She lived in Louisville, KY from 1959 to 1971, then in Los Angeles, CA for about 1 year, Dallas, TX for 2 years and Nashville, TN until 1982 when she moved back to Maryville. She had many friends, some for many years. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and visiting others.

She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 8 nieces; 10 nephews. We wish to sincerely thank her many nieces and nephews for their support, especially Kathy Lambert Howard, Randy Lambert (Laney) and Sherry Miller.

Family and friends will meet at 3:00 PM, Saturday March 7, 2026, at Grandview Pavilion for a service with a visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Building Fund of the First Methodist Church of Maryville.
