Betty Florence Crye Koontz

Betty Florence Crye Koontz- age 78 of Maryville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at Maryville Health Care. She was a retired teacher from Alcoa High School with over 25 years of service. She was a member Clover Hill Presbyterian Church and served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willam “Bill” Koontz; parents, Henry and Amanda Tyler Crye; brothers, Clarence, Jim, and Gene Crye; sister, Jonnie Crye King. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Robin Koontz; son, Benny Koontz; grandson, Adam Koontz all of Maryville; sister, Anna Crye Gideon; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Crye of Maryville, Dorothy Crye of Knoxville, and June Koontz of Alcoa; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating. The interment will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Clover Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, 982-6812.
