Billie Helen Benson

Billie Helen Benson, age 85 of Maryville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at her home. She had been a member of Laurel Bank Baptist Church since 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Erie Wester Dunlap; parents-in-law, Walter and Molly Benson; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Thelma Wester; brothers, Robert Dunlap, Charles Dunlap; grandsons, Joel Thompson, Tony Thompson; great grandson, Dylan Bell. Survivors include her husband, Willard R. Benson; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Gerald Thompson, Betty and Jerry Holden all of Maryville, Janet and Mike Hunt of Friendsville; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Rhonda Benson of Maryville; granddaughter, Jodi Wright and husband Wendell; grandson, Richard Thompson and wife Leah; granddaughters, Keri Bell and husband Dennis, Dana Miller and husband Carl, Tammy Breeden and husband Mike, Lacey Jenkins and husband Earl, Jennifer Kirkland and husband Charles; grandson, Taylor Benson; step grandchildren: grandson, Aaron Hunt; granddaughter, Alicia White; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Dunlap; nieces and nephews; special thanks to care givers. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Bank Church with Rev. Charles Bailey and Rev. Chuck Young officiating. The interment will follow in Laurel Bank Cemetery.
