Bobbie Marie Connatser Stelling

The family of Bobbie Marie Connatser Stelling of Maryville is saddened to announce her passing on July 25, 2025, at the age of 89. She was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend. Bobbie will be remembered for her spirited conversations, exuberance for life, handwritten notes and her love of flowers and ice cream.

Bobbie was one of three amazing daughters born to Ralph and Willie Kate Connatser. After her marriage to Butch Baskette, they moved to Atlanta, where she worked for Rich’s as an administrative assistant. After Butch’s death, Bobbie remained in Atlanta. She later married Peter J. Stelling, sharing a wonderful romance for many years. After Mr. Stellings death, Bobbie moved back to Maryville to be closer to her sisters. Additionally, Bobbie was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Willie Kate Connatser, her first husband, Butch Baskette, stepson Pete Stelling and her second husband, Peter J. Stelling. She is survived by sisters, Eula Faye Clark (A.B.) and Lula Jane Smith, several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Please accept this invitation to share and visit with family and friends at as convenient on Saturday, August 30th at the Savannah Park Clubhouse from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Bobbie to St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
