It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Brenda Ann Crisp Alley. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 31st, 2025, at the age of 80 at Shannondale Skilled Care Facility. Brenda was a lifelong resident of Maryville, Tn. She graduated from Lanier High School in 1963 and received her associate’s degree from Hiwassee College in 1965. Brenda married her college sweetheart, Jerry Alley, on March 20th, 1965. They celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this year. Brenda and Jerry have 3 daughters, Sherri (Alley) Pesterfield, Terri (Alley) Best and Dr. Bethany Alley. Brenda worked for Blount County School Systems for over 30 years as an Administrative Assistant at Fairview Elementary, Rush Strong Elementary, Bungalow Elementary, William Blount High School and Blount County Central Office where she made many lifelong friends. She was an active member at Monte Vista Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday School Class with her childhood and lifelong friend, Sharon Prince. When she was not teaching Sunday School, she was a part of the Best/Wilhite/Garmeson Sunday School Class. Brenda had a servant’s heart and loved participating in mission projects.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Cam and Vola Crisp; sister, Betty Crisp Coward; brother, Eugene Crisp; grandson, Austin Best.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Jerry Alley; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Jason Pesterfield, Terri and Brent Best, Dr. Bethany Alley; grandson, Ethan Pesterfield; sister-in-law, Carolyn Crisp; Brenda loved Jerry’s brother, Doyle Alley and sister, Brenda Kay (Alley) Mason and their families.

Family and friends will meet at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Carpenter’s Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bob Dalton officiating.
