MCGUFFEY, Burnett “Tom”, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Earlene McGuffey; son, Steve McGuffey of Maryville; granddaughter, Sharon Silence and husband Chad; great grandson, Gage Silence; mother-in-law, Jewell Gentry; sisters, Ruby Stalans of Alcoa and Louise Hitson of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harrison Hill officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service.
