Carolyn "Jane" Rawls

It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn “Jane” Rawls of Alcoa announce her passing at her home on Thursday February 19th, 2026. She passed peacefully with her devoted son Kelley by her side. Jane was born and raised in Morristown, Tennessee before moving to Alcoa where she would raise her family. She worked for over 30 years at Bellsouth Telephone Company where she followed in the footsteps of her mother Nora Kelley, who also worked for the telephone company. After retirement she spent most of her time helping her friends and neighbors and working in her community. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family will miss her famous deviled eggs and french coconut pies

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl H “Buck” Kelley and Nora Mae Kelley; son, Donnie Rawls of Alcoa; grandson, Houston Rawls of Alcoa; brother, Pete Kelley of Morristown; sister, Charlotte Davidson of Maryville.

She is survived by sons, David Rawls (Penny Andrews) of Maui Hawaii and Kelley Rawls of Alcoa. Kelley spent the last few years taking amazing care of his mother and was completely devoted to her and never left her side. Granddaughter, Brittany Rawls; Great Grandchildren, Kinsley Phelps, Drake and Zaylon Rawls. Several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank some special friends who have been a great help over the years Jo and Cathy Bush and Steve and Kathy Marsh. A special thank you to Kathy Marsh who has been a great help to Kelley over the last few months. Also, a special thank you to Terry Middleton, all of you hold a special place in the hearts of Jane’s family.
