Charles Edward Thatcher, March 7, 1925, age 86, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a disabled veteran of the U. S. Army. He served in World War II and the Korean War. Preceded in death by his son, James “Eddie†Thatcher; special son-in-law, Earl Chisenhall; parents, John and Dollie Thatcher; brothers, Jessie, J. W., Earl and Archie Thatcher; sisters, Opal Thatcher and Jean Dotson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Thatcher; daughters, Vickie (Mike) McCormick and Janice Chisenhall; grandsons, Michael McCormick, Jason Chisenhall, Joshua Chisenhall, and Anthony McCormick; great grandchildren, Austin Chisenhall, Brook Stubner, Blake Chisenhall, Mason Ortiz, Haylie Chisenhall and Treyton Chisenhall; special nephew, David Dotson. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Collins officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Old Piney Cemetery with Military Honors.
