Charles Grayson Tipton

Charles Grayson Tipton - age 77 of Maryville passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Friendly Hill Baptist Church and the Rocky Branch Gospel Singing Group. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Mayme Tipton; brother, Arnold Tipton; sisters, Thelma Monoco, Helen King and Evelyn Freeman. Survivors include a daughter, Denna Tipton Cox and husband Jimmy; girlfriend, Mary Clark; sisters, Jean Teffeteller and husband Ken, and Juanita Myers; brother, J.T. Tipton and wife Shirley; sister-in-law, Barbara Tipton; granddaughter, Robin Dirmeyer; great-grandchildren, Haley Taylor and Addison Smith; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fate Green officiating. The interment will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday in Piney Level Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel.
