Charles W. Mcamis

Charles W. McAmis, age 94 of Maryville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011, at Asbury Place. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II in Iceland and Okinawa and was employed with Sterchis Brothers Furniture Company for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. McAmis, Sr. and Minnie Bell McAmis; brothers, Jim and Homer McAmis; sister, Alice Brown; nephew, Jimmy McAmis. Survivors include his nephew, Joe McAmis and wife Debbie of Maryville; niece, Terrie McAmis of Maryville. At Charles’s request, a private burial was held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
