Clayton David Chapman

Clayton David Chapman, age 76, of Knoxville passed away April 30, 2025. He was born to parents, Clayton Henry Chapman and Hazel Dean Roulette Chapman in Maryville, TN. He graduated from Maryville High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum Company as a mill wright, retiring after 40 years. After retirement he learned to paint and left several lovely oil paintings for family and friends. He is preceded in death by both parents and brother-in-law, Emmet P. Vaugh, Jr.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Chapman Vaughn; nephew, Donald Lee Gardner; nieces, Suzanne Vaughn Laine, Melissa Preston Vaughn; several great nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 13th at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville with Dr. Brad Hyde officiating.

The family would like to thank good friends, Chuck and Sherry Blair, for helping with transportation to doctor appointments and to all the kind caring staff at Deane Hill Place Senior Living and for their compassion and care.
