Darrell Mark Lankford

Darrell Mark Lankford passed away peacefully at home May 5^th, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. 

Surviving wife Joan P. Lankford, son David Lankford, deceased daughter Patricia Hudson, deceased parents Anna Lou & Hamilton Lankford, and deceased brother Bobby Lee (Shirley) Lankford. 

Grandchildren: Brandi Lankford, Alicia Lankford, Sharon (Winston) Sullivan, & Kyle (Casey) Hudson. Great grandchildren: Kaylee Adams, Chase Forcier, & Roselynn Helton, many nephews, and nieces. 

Darrell had several careers - served as pastor at several churches and loved to tell people about Jesus, taught school in Lebanon KY, and Oak Ridge, TN   Darrell made lovely wood turning bowls and other pieces for family and friends.  He worked for Oak Ridge associated universities and several nuclear facilities across the across the U.S. He and Joan loved to travel and were blessed to cover much of the world. He loved fly fishing, golf, and hunting.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 19^th, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The Celebration of Life will take place at Alcoa First Methodist Church located at 617 Gilbert Street in Alcoa. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Pat Summit Foundation, 520 W. Summit Hill Dr., SW #1101, Knoxville, TN 37902, or Young Williams Animal Shelter, 3201 Division St., Knoxville, TN 37919.
