Daryl Anthony Miller, age 31, of Maryville, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on November 16, 1993.
Daryl was preceded in death by his beloved son Remington “Remi” Dee Miller; his younger brother, Thomas Emmitt Anthony Miller; grandparents Johnny & Kay Wilson and Larry Wishmire; Grandmother Judy Harvey; and mother-in-law Susan Boling.
He is survived by the love of his life and soulmate, Laura Justice; his sons Waylon Anthony Miller, Jaxson Ray Justice, Stephen Michael-Ross Justice, and Brayden Joseph Justice. He is also survived by his parents, Daryl Edward Miller of Jacksboro and Tonya Michelle Wilson of Monroe, Michigan; and second parents, Randall & Connie Nelson of Lenoir City. He is lovingly remembered by his stepmothers, Stephanie Miller and Dawn Hewitt; and his father- and mother-in-law, Shawn and Cathy Saxton of Edisto Island, South Carolina.
Daryl’s grandparents, Susan Miller of Jacksboro; Jeff Miller of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and Brenda & JD Millsaps of Maryville, Tennessee also survive him. He leaves behind his siblings Amber, Miranda, Johnathan, Tanner, EJ, Kayla, and Kristin; his sister- and brother-in-law Melissa & Eric McQueen; and brother- and sister-in-law Shane & Kiely Saxton. He will be deeply missed by special aunts and uncles Joyce & David, Mindy & Mr. Steve, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other loved ones.
Daryl held his friends close to his heart, especially Jon Abbott, Ethan Long, Hunter & Kayla Davis, DeJay Johnson, Barry Richardson, Chris Baker, and Matt Kirby.
Daryl’s passion for fixing things began early — he repaired his first lawnmower at age 10 and never looked back. He went on to become an A.S.E. certified technician for Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, and Jeep, and worked as a lineman for several utility companies.
He loved the outdoors and spent his time fishing, coon hunting, deer hunting, playing guitar, and watching Star Wars. Some of his greatest joys were cheering on his older sons at their football games and playing video games with his son Waylon and being his dad’s best friend.
A celebration of Daryl’s life will be held: Saturday, June 28 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home
