David Harold Kirkland, Sr.

David Harold Kirkland, Sr, age 77, passed away Monday, October 13 at his home in Maryville. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Harold was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He enjoyed working on old cars; especially his 1957 Chevy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Grace Kirkland, and siblings Sue Lunsford and Eddie Kirkland.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janelle; his children David and Kristin Kirkland and Stephanie Young; grandchildren Blake and Emily Kirkland, Brenna and Joel Richards, Grace Young, and Jaden Young; great-grandchildren Lincoln and Emersyn Kirkland, Samuel Richards, and Baby Richards due in June as well as his siblings Paul and Gretchen Kirkland, Jean Thomas, Robby and Penny Kirkland, Cindy and Dave Fuller, and Keith Kirkland.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Sunday, October 19 at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Parker officiating. Burial will be on Monday, October 20 at 11:00 am at Cades Cove Memorial Baptist Cemetery 2342 Duncan Road Maryville 37803.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church 605 Dotson Memorial Road Maryville, TN 37801 or East Alcoa Baptist Church 152 N. Wright Road Alcoa, TN 37701.
