Delores Teffeteller Turner

Mrs. Delores Turner passed away on Monday, March 24th at her home in Wears Valley, Tennessee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. Mrs. Turner was a life-long resident of East Tennessee. Her children and grandchildren cared for her the past few years as she struggled with dementia.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, William (Nickel Bill) and Ida Serena Stephens Teffeteller; her husband, Carl Preston Turner; children, Kathy Sue Black (Wayne) and John Russell Turner; granddaughter, Deanna Glandon.

She is survived by her children, JoAnn Lindsey Kastens (Bob), Patricia Ann Rose, George David Turner (Rita), Wanda Lou Slagle, Carl Preston Turner (Karen); 15 grandchildren; great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Thursday, March 27th at Macedonia Baptist Church in Townsend with a service at 12:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Black officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
