Donna Maxine Thornton
September 30, 1933 — July 11, 2011
Donna Maxine Thornton, age 77 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Latter-day Saints Church and loved to fish and bowl. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Collins. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Lloyd Thornton; children, Christy Bradburn, Meloni Bradburn, Shawn Thornton, Robin Curtis, Kari Martin; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church), 706 Amerine Road, Maryville, TN 37804, with Bishop Richard Udy officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Morganton Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church.
