Doris Irene Rainey

Doris Irene Dobson Rainey - age 80 of Maryville died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at U.T. Medical Center. She was an active member of Broadway United Methodist Church since 1958, a graduate of Furman University, she was an accomplished artist and musician. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Rainey; parents, Alvin C. And Irene Dobson; brothers, William and Richard Dobson; sister, Nelle Dobson Tuck. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beth Rainey and Ron Willocks of Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law, John R. Rainey Jr. And Martine of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Erica Willocks Troutman and husband Drew, Elliott Rainey Willocks and wife Christina Mincy Willocks; John Lee Rainey and William Marshall Rainey; brothers, Broadus Dobson, and Charles Dobson of Greer, SC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:30 P.M. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Amy Probst officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:00 A.M. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
