Dorthea K. ''Kay'' Kelley

Dorthea K. (Kay) Kelley, age 87 of Walland, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2004, at her home. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Choir and Methodist Women’s Association, was a graduate of the University of Wichita, a teacher, mother and shining example. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gemmi W. and Tessie Pearl Kane and brother, James Elliott Kane. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Hal Kelley; four sons, Patrick Kelley of Six Mile, SC, Michael Kelley of Middletown, CT, Daniel Kelley of Knoxville and Steven Kelley of Coarsegold, CA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21st, at Maryville First United Methodist Church followed by a 3:00 p.m. memorial service with Rev. Brenda Carroll and Rev. Larry Carroll officiating. Mrs. Kelley’s body was cremated and the interment was in the TN Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
