Dr. Cleve Parnick Miller (Doc), age 76, passed peacefully at his residence on February 5, 2026, following a long-term illness. He was born at home on February 19, 1949, the beloved son of George Cleve Miller and Mary Alice Clabo Miller.

Cleve lived a life of service, courage, faith, and deep generosity. A proud Vietnam veteran, he served with the Tennessee National Guard as a medic and trainer aboard Blackhawk helicopters. During his service, he delivered a baby mid-flight, rescued individuals throughout the Smoky Mountains, and devoted his life to saving others. He was deeply honored to serve his country and carried that calling throughout his life.

A man of many talents and achievements, Cleve could fix anything and would help anyone without hesitation. He lived adventurously, loved learning, and was passionate about teaching and serving others. He was a graduate of the Chicago Institute of Baking and the University of Tennessee. He was also a four-star General in the United States Service Command, where he worked closely with Homeland Security. Cleve held over 40 FEMA certifications and served as President and Commissioner of numerous organizations.

Cleve was the founder of Tennessee Drug & Alcohol and continued his lifelong mission of service and education through his work. He was an active member of Task Force Omega, Rolling Thunder, the American Legion, VFW, the Shriners, and the Masons.

Above all, Cleve loved God. He was a devoted prayer warrior who cherished his church family, his faith, and his calling to serve. He loved his family fiercely and found his greatest joy in being present for them.

Cleve is survived by his loving wife, Delena Venise "Dee Dee" Miller; his children, Joel Miller, David Miller, Tiffany Cobb, Christi Wallace-Clarke, Joshua Wallace, and Kayla (Zack) Whaley; his grandchildren, Morgan Clarke, Liam (Jayden) Clarke, Josie Cobb, Daniel Miller, Chase Cobb, Chloe Cobb, Heidi Sarson-Whaley, Callie Jones, and Bodhi Whaley; his siblings, Brenda Sharp, Nadene Hampton, Jay (Kathy) Miller, and Ray (Paula) Miller; his mother-in-law, Libby Barnhill, brother in-law Barney (Sandy) Barnhill; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Miller; his brothers, Jimmy Miller and George Miller; and his brothers-in-law, Hank Sharp and Alan Hampton.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Janice and Laura, Cleve's primary care team, along with all those at Bay Pines Community Care Center in Florida and the compassionate staff at Parkwest Hospital, for their exceptional care and kindness.

The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2026, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and funeral services to follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Hepperly officiating. The interment will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 17, 2025, at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier with military honors.
