Edith M. French, age 79 of Friendsville, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Elmore French, Jr.; son, John E. French, III; daughter, Ann Linginfelter; sisters, Evelyn Self, Lillian Swanner, Ruby Crisp, Josephine Miller. Survivors include her daughters, Patsy French of Friendsville, Linda Waters and husband Chuck of Friendsville; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Billy Linginfelter of White Pine. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Simerly officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Oakland Baptist Cemetery for the interment service.
