Edna L. Eakes

EAKES, Edna L., age 86 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, August 16, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Eakes; son, Joe Eakes; 4 brothers and one sister. Survivors include her daughters, Dolly Watson of Maryville and Dailene Newman of Alcoa; daughter-in-law, Doris W. Eakes of Wilmington, NC; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Edith “Tootsie” McCulley of Knoxville. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dan Chambers of Maryville Church of Christ officiating.
