Ernest K. Best

Ernest K. Best - age 90 of Maryville passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003 at his home. He was a long time member of Forest Hill Baptist Church, was retired from ALCOA and raised Field Champion Beagles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary James Best; first wife, Mary Gamble Best; daughter, Sue Best; brother, Leonard Best. Survivors include his wife, Edna Best; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Davis Atkins, of Maryville; step-son and wife, Alan and Karen Millsaps, of Dunlap, TN; step-daughter, Angela Salim, of Live Oaks, TX; grandchildren, Teresa Chapman Cosner, of Chattanooga, Scott Chapman, of Nashville, Christy Rankin, of Dunlap, TN, Bert Millsaps, of Dunlap, TN, Josh Salim and Cassandra Salim, both of Live Oaks, TX; great-grandchildren, Meagan Cosner and Braden Cosner, both of Chattanooga; sister, Myrtle Everett, of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Sherrer officiating. The interment will follow in Carpenter’s Cemetery.
