Essie Huffstetler Carpenter

CARPENTER, Essie Mae Huffstetler, age 87, departed this life on August 26, 2003, 30 years to the day of her deceased husband, Roscoe Carpenter. She was a member of Binfield United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Della Wilson Huffstetler; brothers, Eli, Leonard, R.C., Press, and Rufus; sisters, Trula Giffin, Etta B. Harris and Ruby Clark; son-in-law, Floyd Porter. Survivors include: children, Evelyn Porter of Maryville, Peggy and Bud Downey and Allen and Judy Carpenter; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee A. Hokaj and Rev. Toby Downey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Carpenters Cemetery for the interment service.
