Esther Cates Hooks

Esther Cates Hooks, age 70, of Maryville, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Esther was a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Maryville Ward. She was a wonderful mother, Grandma and GG. She loved sewing, crafts and decorating for holiday events. She was preceded in death by children, Seth Hooks and Melinda Hooks; parents, James and Anna Mae Cates; brother, Jimmy Joe Cates; sisters, Dorothy Hensley and Cathey Cate. Survived by husband, Robert Hooks; children, Pamela Hooks Miller (Joel), Angela Hooks Murr (Ernie), Adam Hooks; grandchildren, Jordan Weaver, Brandon Gillenwaters, Emily Murr, Gatlin Murr and Dalton Stiles; great-grandchild, Aria Weaver. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Choto Cemetery, Farragut, for a graveside service with Dale Hensley officiating.
