Esther Clara Lawhorn Cook, age 82 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Cook; sons, James Cook and Eddie McDaniel; daughters, Wilma Jane and Linda Cook; parents, Frank and Gertrude Lawhorn; brothers, Fred, Carl, and Ed Lawhorn; sisters, Thelma Lakey, Helen Cook, Johnnie Delaney, Bertha Lawhorn; granddaughters, Redia Roseann Cook and Jessica Cook. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Kenneth Guffey, Maryville, Christine and Bob Van Dyke, Tampa, FL, Ella and Kenny Herron, Maryville, Freda and Stephen Hamby, Maryville; daughters-in-law, Faye McDaniel and Thresea Cook; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Edna Cook, Maryville; son, Fred R. Cook, Maryville; grandchildren, Susie Clem, Tina Cook, Jerry Cook, Jr., Taylor Herron, Stephen Hamby, Sarah Hamby, Joney Crowder, Rusty Rogers, Marty Rogers, Kristy Hackworth; and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Robinson and Rev. Doug Patton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at West Emory Presbyterian Church Cemetery for the interment service with Rev. Ray McKeehan officiating.
