Esther Wells Stephens

STEPHENS, Esther Wells, age 82 of Maryville, passed away Friday, October 29, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Niles Ferry Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. “Barney” Stephens; parents, LaLee and Ida Mae Watson Wells; sister, Edith Shirley. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Sandy Stephens and Tom and Gail Stephens all of Maryville; grandchildren, Kim and Jason Effler, Felecia Gurley, Shane Stephens, Mendy Stephens and Stephanie Gurley all of Maryville; great grandchildren, Brian Thomas, Sassy, Christian and Madison; special niece, Kathryn Tallent; nephew, David Shirley. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Patton and Rev. R. M. Everett officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
