Ethel Lucille Thomas Kirkland

Kirkland, Ethel Lucille Thomas, age 69 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Ethel Thomas; daughter, Judy Kay; granddaughter, Emily Marie Nelson; brothers, Frank, George and Wayne; sisters, Grace, Louise, Cubie and Caroline. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Robert Ben Kirkland; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Kim Kirkland; daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Terry Nelson, Janet and Doug Bivens all of Maryville; grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) and Ben Kirkland, Nicholas and Elijah Kirkland, Stephanie (Britton) Knight and Sara Bivens all of Maryville; brothers, J. L. and Charlie Thomas; sister, Janette Baker; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mt.Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Nelson and Rev. Allen Burchfield officiating. The interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church.
