Eunice Marie Snider Pennington

Pennington, Eunice Marie Snider -age 79 of Wears Valley, TN, beloved wife of 63 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully went to her new home with Jesus on Friday, July 14, 2006. She was a charter member of Nansemond River Baptist Church in Suffolk, VA. She drove a school bus in Suffolk, VA for 12 years. She was an avid hiker and loved to roam the trails of the Great Smoky Mountains. She square-danced and camped all over the U.S. for 36 years. She was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Julia Maude and Bill Tomlin; brothers John Snider and Clifton Snider; sister, Jonnie Snider. Survivors include her husband, Roy Mason Pennington, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mike Dennis of Maryville, TN, son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Dhebra Pennington Jr. of Williamsburg, VA, daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Holt of Portsmouth, VA; grandchildren, Monika Belcher, Eric Dennis and spouse Lisa, Chipper Wyatt and spouse Janice, Ashleigh Jones and spouse Danny, and Josh Dennis all of Maryville, TN; Roy Mason Pennington, III, Kasey Pennington, and Kyleigh Pennington all of Williamsburg, VA; Chester Miles and spouse Amy, and Katie Holt all of Portsmouth, VA; great-grandchildren, Trey Belcher, Jared Belcher, Bryce Belcher, Taylor Dennis, and Joseph Dennis all of Maryville, TN and Haven Miles of Portsmouth, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth “Sis” and David Myhr; brothers, Bud Snider and George Snider. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, July 16, 2006 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Holder officiating. The interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
