F. Phil Regoli, Jr

F. Phil Regoli, 95, passed away on January 7, 2026. He was born on July 15, 1930, in Stewartsville, Ohio to Margaret Ellen and Ferdinand P. Regoli, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Frizzi) Regoli and children, Steven Regoli (Valerie), Kathi (Regoli) Wilson (John) and Gary Regoli (Teresa). Phil is survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Phil graduated from Bellaire High School in 1948. He worked for Hanna Coal from 1949 to 1951. Then he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953 including a one-year deployment in Korea.After his military discharge Phil earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He later earned a Master’s Degree from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia. Phil taught industrial arts in Mt. Pleasant High School, Bellaire High School and Martins Ferry High School. While teaching in Martins Ferry he coached High School baseball. Phil also was a Junior High School principal in Martins Ferry. He was a member of the Gideons International for many years.He left the education profession in 1977 when warmer weather drew him and his wife Kathryn to the Sunshine State settling in Ocala. He was very active in Seniors Softball and always enjoyed bass fishing, gardening and working in his wood shop.

His children will receive guests and family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 17 at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Following a brief funeral service there at 10:30a.m., internment with full military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veteran’s Association at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
