Florence Elizabeth Butman

February 18, 2002 BUTMAN, Florence Elizabeth, age 87 of Maryville, died Sunday evening, February 17, 2002, at Asbury Acres Healthcare Center after a brief illness. Miss Butman was an elementary school teacher. She taught at Van Guilder and Fort Sanders Elementary Schools in Knoxville for most of her teaching career. She was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and directed the children’s choir for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Chilhowee Club. She is survived by her nephew, Dr. A. Kilgore LeQuire and wife Barbara; niece, Lynn LeQuire O’Meara and husband Andrew; great niece, Kim Hattaway and husband Jim; and great great nephew, James Hattaway. She also leaves behind special friends, Agnes Compton and Anne, Alan and Jessica Regenbrecht. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 25, in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Darris Doyal officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
