Gary Caughron

Gary Caughron, 69, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Gary enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. He dedicated over 20 years to the Aluminum Company of America before joining the Maryville Police Department, where he served for 25 years, retiring in 2018.

Gary was a loving husband, father, and Papaw. He never knew a stranger and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a good officer, a good man, and to those who knew him, he meant everything.

Gary is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandy; son Gary L. Caughron, daughter-in-law Hanna, and granddaughter Avery; daughter Kristen Carney; grandchildren Madison Carney and Grayson Carney; and grand-dogs Maisie, Ellie, and Pearl.
