Gary E. ''Pap' Ryan

10-26-2008 RYAN, Gary E. “Pap”-age 56 of Greenback, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Niles Ferry Baptist Church. He retired from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Department with 26 ½ years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Lynn and Lois Ryan; sister, Mary Lynn Henderson and brother-in-law, , W.L. “Dub” Henderson; brother, Gene Ryan. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Brenda Benson Ryan of Greenback; son, Shaun Ryan of Athens and special friend Sheena Thompson of Riceville; brothers, Shane Ryan, Rusty Ryan and wife Shelley all of Greenback; nieces, Cindy Cobb and husband Ronnie of Maryville, Kelly Kirkland and husband Richard of Madisonville, Kristy Satterfield and husband Tim of Greenback; nephews, Kent Henderson and wife Teresa of Maryville, Jason Henderson and wife Robin and their son Jonah of Lenior City; special grandchildren, Dallas and Nickolas Kirkland of Madisonville, TJ, Dawson, and Tucker Satterfield of Greenback; a very special uncle, Chuck Ray and wife Bobbie of Greenback; stepmother, Kerma Ryan of Greenback; several other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. R.M. Everett officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Pine Grove Cemetery, Greenback for the interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
