George F. Lechelt

George F. Lechelt, age 77 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Lydia Lechelt and brother, Manfred H. Lechelt. Survivors include his companion, Lois Jackson; stepchildren, Lee and Betty Jackson, Joy and Jim Melchionda, Joni Katon, Jay and Hallie Jackson, Jeff Jackson; step grandchildren, Jamie and BJ, Ada and Tom, Emilee, Angelina and Ray, Dianna and Jeff, Cynthia and Sean, Dan; step great grandchildren, Hallie Jane, Marley, Lillee; sister and brother-in-law, Erna and Herbert Holcombe; brother, Benno A. Lechelt. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service.
