Gertie Ramsey Lawson

LAWSON, Gertie Ramsey, age 81 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church and retired from Sears after 27 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Printha McCarter Ramsey; sister, Trula Purkey; brothers, Arnold Ramsey, Charles Ramsey, Wimp Ramsey and Clarence Ramsey. Survivors include her husband, Charles M. Lawson, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Carl Lawson of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Darunee Lawson of Maryville; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Bobbie Ramsey and Larry and Sue Ramsey all of Maryville; sister, Evelyn Martel Jenkins of Smyrna, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ballard and Dr. John Sharp officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.
