Gladys Bryan McNeilly, 79, of Greenback, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on March 28th, 2026. Gladys, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother lived a life full of devotion, strength and compassion to all who knew her. She loved her family and friends deeply, but her greatest of joys was being a Nan to her grandkids and great grandkids. Gladys enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with her dearest friend, Norman. Together, they shared their love for farming and beef cattle. Everyday, her and Norman would check on the cattle. Her example of hard work, dedication and zeal for farming has carried over into future generations. Gladys always had an open door invitation to all who came to “drop by”. Her hospitality and loving presence will leave a lasting impression and legacy in all who knew her.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Max McNeilly; parents, Georgia and Ralph Patty; parents-in-law, Bob and Jane McNeilly; sons-in-law, Bill Steele, Steve Wright; brothers Lowery and Johnny (JW) Patty; sister Louise Shockley, brother-in-laws; Jimmy McNeilly, Jack McNeilly, Stanley McCall and Eugene Shockley, sister-in Laws; Faye McNeilly, Jean Fogleman, and Virginia Patty.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters; Melodee (Dee) Wright, Tonya (Ronnie) Fell, and Margaret (Tim) Young, grandchildren; Amelia (Eric) Hatcher, Alivia (Brian) Brannum, Alicia (Keegan) McMahon, Chelsea (Aaron) Pratt; great grandchildren, Kenslee, Noah, Luke, Kenidee, Cole, Carson, Canaan, Abigail and Damian, dear friend; Norman Lambert, Sisters; Brenda McCall, June (Bill) Ross, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved loyal companions; Snoopy and Brown Dog.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with services to follow at 7:00 with Pastor Lon Shockley officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Marble Hill Cemetery for the interment service.
The family would like to express deep appreciation for the countless acts of love and prayers during this time, especially her loving caregivers; Debbie Harrison, Melissa Fee, Jolane Mcneilly and Tina Patty and U.T. Hospice.
