Grant Bryant

December 28, 1955 — July 7, 2025

Louisville, TN

Grant Bryant passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the age of 69. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 28, 1955 to Edgar Bryant and Dorothy Jean Hearon. Grant spent most of his younger years in Farragut, TN but has proudly called Blount County his home for many years. He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar Bryant and his granddaughter Layla Grace Bryant.

Grant is survived by his devoted and loving wife of nearly 45 years Teresa Bryant. Children: Daughter, Nichole Bryant (Lewis). Sons, Nicholas Bryant (Taylor) and Austin Bryant. Grandchildren: Isaac Bailey, Colby Lewis, Honnah Bryant, Hadley Bryant and Amelia Bryant. Parents: Mother, Dorothy Jean Hearon (Maurice). Brothers: David Bryant (Resa) and Steven Bryant. Uncle: Robert Bryant (Marsha). Grant also leaves behind his beloved step-siblings, coworkers, and friends. Grant was employed with and part owner of The Wakefield Corporation (TWC) for more than 30 years. But to his Wakefield family he was so much more. He was a friend, mentor, brother and someone everyone knew they could count on. He was beyond dedicated and loved his job. Grant embodied the values of TWC integrity, service and excellence. He expected these values in all of his coworkers and employees as much as he did himself and he leaves a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.

Grant grew up with a love of barefoot skiing, playing pool, throwing darts and Tennessee sports. He and Teresa loved their time spent on the lake on their houseboat just about every weekend for years!! Later in life that competitive nature found another outlet and if you couldn’t find Grant on his tractor at home or at The Wakefield Corporation, you knew to look for him at Green Meadow Country Club where he was a long time and much loved member. GMCC was his home away from home and his Friday morning golf crew, Renegade friends and particularly the Green Meadow staff were near and dear to his heart.

More than anything, Grant loved his family with all his heart. He was a devoted husband and supportive father whose love knew no bounds. His laugh and smile were infectious, and his hugs made you feel safe and truly cared for. He had a positive spirit that always brought joy to others, especially when you heard him call you “Sunshine”. Grant faced challenges with strength and courage and instilled those values along with love, the importance of family, and hard work in his children. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Teresa, his children and grandchildren who will remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering love. And while he may be gone, Grant will never be forgotten and will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
