Harold J. Bishop

Harold J. Bishop, age 76 of Maryville, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, at Mercy Residential Hospice in Knoxville. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Retired from McGhee Tyson Air Base 134th Air Refueling Group after 34 ½ years of service, having achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Faye Dunn Bishop; father, Everett Bishop; brother, Bobby Lee Bishop; sister and brother-in-law, Betty Ruth and John Hopson; brother-in-law, Clyde Holmes; step grandson, Boone L. Howerton. Survivors include his wife, Betty Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie L. Bishop and David F. Howerton; step grandchildren, Matt and Anna Howerton, sister, Mary E. Holmes of Maryville; sister-in-law, Virginia Bishop of Charleston, SC. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Rick Steen officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
