Helen Ruth Everhart

Helen Ruth Everhart, age 99, passed away at Shannondale of Maryville on August 4,2025. Born in Maryville, she worked at the University of Tennessee while her husband earned his degree until 1951. She then became a homemaker and raised her three daughters. She was a faithful member at Broadway Baptist Church for over 52 years.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband J.C. Everhart and daughter Linda Bean; parents Docie and Hazel Keeble; brothers Allison, Docie Jr., Harold, Lloyd, John; sister Dorothy. Survived by daughters Carolyn (Jack) Ewig and Pam James; Grandchildren Kristen (Travis), Erin (Matt), Ben (Denise), Karen (David), Joe (Kristin), John (Celeste) and Justin (Lindsey); and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the great nurses and staff at Amedisys Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, August 7th at Broadway Baptist Church and the service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Collins officiating. The interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Broadway Baptist Missions Fund.
