Hope Carpenter Payne

PAYNE, Hope Carpenter, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert L. Payne; son, Robert G. Payne; parents, Clyde and Eula Carpenter; brothers, Paul, Charles, Floyd and Nyal Carpenter; sister, Edith Bible. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Ann and Cecil Byers of Knoxville, Pat and Bob Carroll of Maryville; grandson, Alan and (Pam) Byers of Knoxville; granddaughters, Lisa C. and (Jamie) Hipps of Maryville, Danielle and (Scott) Mills of Robbins, TN, Dawn and (Tim) Claiborne of Oneida, TN and Sandy & (Jon) Puryear of Bedford, TX; several great grandchildren; sister, Ada Rider of Tyler, TX. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating.
