Horace Leonard Long

January 12, 1924 — September 9, 2013

Horace Leonard Long, age 89 of Maryville, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was of Baptist faith, retired from ALCOA, a member of the 25 Year Club, loved to garden and work outside. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Guy Long and Mary Hazel Kagley Long; brother, Homer Long; sisters, Delsie Spence and Pauline Foster. Survivors include his wife, Ollie Long; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susan Long of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ronnie Snoderly of Maryville; grandchildren, Jeff Barbra and wife Sarah, Matthew Barbra and wife Michelle, Julie Albright and husband Brad, Dustin Snoderly; great grandchildren, Addyson, Brittney, Baylee, Destiny, Madysen and Lillian; brothers, Ralph Long and Bill Long and wife Phyllis. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clifton Hearon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to East Tennessee Childrens Hospital, 2018 Clinch, Knoxville, TN 37916.
