Indietta Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Indietta, age 91 of Maryville, who was born in Talbot, TN on September 27, 1912, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at Morning View Transitional Care Unit. She was a member of Baker’s Creek Presbyterian Church, and was a Blount County school teacher for 39 years at Fairview, Lanier, Howards, Rush Strong and Rockford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Creed Montgomery; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and J. V. Britton of Maryville; daughters, Susan Nast of Maryville and Ann Montgomery of Chattanooga, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Betty Montgomery of Knoxville, TN; 6 grandchildren, David Britton, Andrew Britton both of Greenback, Joetta Colville of Waukesha, WI, Keith Willocks of Nashville, Steven Montgomery of Knoxville and Bryan Montgomery of Greensboro, NC; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Helen Jones of Nashville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Sabo officiating. The interment will follow in Baker’s Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
