James A. Irwin, Sr.

February 15, 2002 IRWIN SR., James A., age 73 of Maryville, died Friday, February 15, 2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a deacon at Faith Baptist Church, was retired from Sam Jett Firestone after 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Cleo Irwin; grandson, Jimmy Lee Irwin; great granddaughter, Sierra McKeehan; and parents, William Lee and Helen B. Irwin. Survivors include: daughters, Beatrice Irwin and Polly Ann Rollins both of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Jerry Lynn Hannah of Walland; sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Halley Irwin of Rockford and Clarence Lee and Becky Irwin of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Robbie Irwin and Paul and Anna Irwin all of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Don Chambers of Marrow, GA; several nieces, nephews and friends; special friends, Joe and Dolly Hatcher, Loretta Christie and Herman Williams. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Trent McKenhan officiating. The interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Brantley’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
