James Allen "Barney" Nicholson

James Allen “Barney” Nicholson, age 73 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He attended Gray Ridge Church and was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. He was retired from Alcoa and remained close friends with his co-workers. He was a loving and devoted father. Preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie Nicholson; parents, Barxtle and Ida Bell Nicholson; brother, Darrel Nicholson.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Nicholson; brother, H.B. Nicholson; former wives, Billie Jean Nicholson and Debra Johnson; step daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Rich Medders; step-grandchildren, Brayden Kirby, Ian Medders, and Caylor Medders; several nieces and nephews. He was loved by many friends and the family ask those to celebrate his life in a way or place they knew him. In lieu of flowers, please pass that joy on to those who need that love.
