James L. Fields

James L. Fields, 90, of Catlettsburg, KY, died Saturday, November 26, 2022, after a long illness. Mr. Fields was born February 14, 1932, in Clendenin, WV, the son of Luster D. and Doris C Fields. He was a graduate of Sand Fork High School, Gilmer County, WV, Class of 1949. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. Mr. Fields retired from Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. and was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Ashland, KY. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cora A. Fields; brother Jack A. Fields; his parents. 

Surviving are his son, Steven M. Fields of Rush, KY; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda S. and Bill Hardin of Maryville, TN.; three beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Fields Murray, Allison Hardin McGowan, Russ Hardin; five precious great-grandchildren. 

 After a private memorial service, burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV.
