James Ronnie Koons

James Ronnie Koons - age 70 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at U.T. Medical Center. He was a member of Kagley's Chapel Baptist Church, a veteran serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. James was retired from Alcoa's Power Division Tapoco Inc. And was a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee Koons, Annis Louise Henson (birth mother) and Grace Koons; brother, Elmer Koons; sisters, Edna Chambers and Betty Cook. Survivors include his wife if 48 years, Edith Choat Koons; son, Jimmy Shawn Koons; daughter, Shana Leighanne Hughes; granddaughter, Gracie Noelle Hitson all of Maryville; sisters, Virginia Maders of Henderson, NV., Ruth Champion of Sheffield, PA., and Kate Musto of West Lake, OH.; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may drop by Kagley's Chapel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall for a celebration of Jim's life Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M.
