James W. ''Bobcat'' Thompson

Thompson, James W. (Bobcat), age 71 of Greenback, departed this life Monday, September 18, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith. Jim was retired from Tennessee Farmers Co-op and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Josie Thompson and sisters, Hazel Hall and Mary Morgan. Survivors include his loving wife, Gladys Thompson; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Andy Huffstetler and Janet and David Ledbetter; grandchildren, Chris Huffstetler, Casey and Josh Atchley, Allie Ledbetter and Samantha Ledbetter; great grandson, Jeremiah Atchley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Roy Irwin, Nola and Jim Lawhorn; sister, Sally Hines. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Lawhorn officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Cloyd’s Creek Cemetery for the interment service.
